Town Manager's Office

The Town Manager is responsible for the effective administration of the town’s daily operations, ensuring that all departments—such as public works, police, and finance—function efficiently and in alignment with the policies set by the town’s governing body (e.g., town council or board of selectmen). Key responsibilities include preparing the annual budget, managing town finances, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.

In addition, the Town Manager focuses on staff development, ensuring employees receive the necessary training to stay current with best practices. They serve as a crucial link between the town government and its residents, businesses, and stakeholders, managing communications, addressing public concerns, and keeping the community informed about town affairs and policies.

The Town Manager also plays a strategic role in long-term town planning, encompassing economic development, infrastructure improvements, and other key initiatives. They oversee the town’s emergency response efforts, coordinating with emergency services to maintain public safety during crises, such as natural disasters.
