Parachute Municipal Elections

Parachute Municipal Election April 2, 2024

3 Seats up for Election

The upcoming election provides an opportunity for community members to actively participate in the democratic process and contribute to the continued success of Parachute. Those interested in becoming candidates for the Town Council are encouraged to file their nomination petitions with the Town Clerk by January 22, 2024.

Nomination petitions are available for pick up in the Town Clerk's office Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, starting on January 2, 2024.

Nomination petitions are due back no later than 5:00 pm on January 22, 2024.

Qualifications for Elected Office

Each Councilmember and the Mayor shall be a qualified elector of the Town and shall be a resident for at least twelve (12) months of an area that is within the Town as of the date of election and during his or her entire tenure in office. Neither any Councilmember nor the Mayor shall be a paid employee of the Town, nor shall they apply for any employment position with the Town while in office.
